Webinar: Driving Quality Improvement in Long-Term Care
Published on: 30-01-2025
Delivering good-quality care in long-term care settings is not an easy task. It requires not only addressing physical and clinical needs but also improving individuals' overall well-being and quality of life. Fundamental principles of care such as autonomy, dignity, comfort, and meaningful relationships must be prioritized alongside safety and measurable outcomes. A paradigm shift from traditional quality assurance to continuous improvement and adaptive quality management is essential to achieving these goals.
This webinar, organized by the Special Interest Group (SIG) on Quality Improvement at the Global Observatory of Long-Term Care (GOLTC), will present the World Health Organization (WHO)'s conceptual framework for quality management in long-term care. Launched in December 2024, this framework emphasizes the importance of embedding learning and collaboration into care systems to drive meaningful and sustainable improvements. Experts will share practical insights and strategies for implementing this framework to improve the quality of long-term care services.
