A consortium of eleven private and public partners from Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands is working on a certification procedure for technical products to support people suffering from dementia. The experts have now met for the first time purely virtually for two days to compare standards and certification steps.
After the summer holidays, products of three project partners will be tested under real living conditions in Living Labs and at home by people suffering from early-stage dementia. The Certification-D project is funded by the Interreg Programme North-West Europe with Euros 2.2 million. In 2021 and 2022 external companies can apply and have their products tested and certified free of charge.
