How will the public health be in 2040 in The Netherlands? The four-years Public Health Foresight Study providing this answer is now also available on www.vtv2018.nl/en.
The study (VTV-2018), a product of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), describes the challenges we have to cope with if current developments continue without any change. For example: old age related diseases like dementia will increase substantially and healthcare expenditures will continue to rise. This rapport also explores how to deal with this.
The VTV is ordained by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. Various stakeholders from policy, research and health care practice are consulted by RIVM for the production of the Public Health Foresight Study.
